Who We Are

Born from a ₹15,000 Frustration

ParcelBuddy wasn’t born in a boardroom; it was born at a courier counter.

Last year, our founder tried to get a few essentials to his sister in Canada. Faced with standard logistics, he paid ₹15,000 in fees, hoping to get a piece of home to her. Instead, he spent the next 25 days in a loop of uncertainty. Not only did the items never reach her, but they were eventually returned to him with zero refund.

The reason? The kit contained a small toy car.

It was a baffling moment. His sister visits India every two years and carries similar items in her check-in luggage without any issues. That’s when the realization hit: The rules for logistics companies are not the rules for people. Everything we are easily allowed to carry in our bags as travelers suddenly becomes "restricted" or "prohibitively expensive" the moment it’s processed through a traditional carrier.

Why the System was Broken

Between the exorbitant costs and the 20-day wait times, our founder knew the travel assistance industry was stuck in the past. He realized he wasn’t alone; thousands of people were scouring social media groups looking for travelers—real people—willing to use their journey to help someone else get a much-needed help.

Our Solution

He built ParcelBuddy to turn those informal, risky searches into a secure, global community. The platform is connecting people who need a favor, not people who are running a business. By leveraging the power of human travel, we make the world feel a little smaller and a lot more connected.

At ParcelBuddy, we aren't just a platform; we are a community built on mutual respect and security. To ensure every trip is a success, we’ve established these core safety pillars:

For Travelers: "Know Your Cargo"

  • The Inspection Rule: Never accept a sealed gift or package. As the person carrying the item, you have the right (and responsibility) to inspect every item to ensure it matches the description and complies with travel regulations.

  • Public Meetups Only: Always arrange to receive and hand over items in busy, well-lit public areas—ideally a popular transit hub.

  • Verification First: Only communicate through the ParcelBuddy secure chat to keep a record of your agreements.

For Senders: "Verified Connections"

  • Profile Transparency: Check traveler reviews before booking. See how many successful trips they’ve completed.

  • Item Prep: Ensure your items are clean, legal, and easy to inspect. Providing a receipt for new items (like electronics or gifts) helps your traveler.

A proud Thapar University, Patiala incubated startup, Huvina Technologies LLP is revolutionizing "Traveler Assistance" through ParcelBuddy. The platform is connecting people who need a favor, not people who are running a business.

Our Mission

Our mission is to make travel assistance as personal, affordable, and rapid as travel itself. By leveraging the power of existing journeys, we aren't just reducing the global carbon footprint—we're delivering smiles to every traveler and sender along the way.
